DSTNDSTN
All three ways to partner

Bring your inventory on-chain

An OTA takes 15 to 30% and keeps the guest. DSTN's platform fee will be 2 to 5%, settlement will be direct rather than an OTA payout cycle, and the guest relationship stays yours.

An OTA takes 15 to 30% and keeps the guest. DSTN's platform fee will be 2 to 5%, settlement is designed to pay out directly rather than on an OTA payout cycle, and the guest relationship stays yours. None of it is live — what exists today is the contract work, the compliance dossiers and a list of the operators who want to be first when their market opens.

The gap this is about

A booking site's commission, today

15 to 30%

Taken out of the room before you are quoted a price.

What DSTN intends to charge

2 to 5%

A platform fee, not a commission. Nothing is bookable yet.

Percentage of the booking value. The upper figure is the market range an operator pays a large channel today; the lower is DSTN’s intended platform fee. It is an intention, not a rate card, and nothing on DSTN is bookable yet.

How it will work

Step 1 of 3

Tell us what you run

What kind of inventory, roughly how much, and which channels you are on today.

What kind of inventory, roughly how much of it, and which channels you are on today. That is enough for us to know whether your market is one we can sequence soon.

What you would get

  • The difference would be yours — to keep as margin, or to spend on a lower price than the channel taking a fifth of the room.

  • Settlement is designed to pay out directly, in the currency your bank expects, rather than leaving your cash in somebody else's reserve through a payout lag.

  • The relationship and the contact details would stay with you, portable, instead of being filtered down to the bare minimum a channel chooses to pass on.

  • The bookings this platform is being built to send you come out of content the traveller already chose to watch, not out of a price grid you are ranked in.

Questions

Including the ones where the honest answer is that it has not been decided.

No, and we would advise against it. DSTN is being built as an additional channel with a lower fee, not as a replacement you have to bet a season on. Nothing in the first cohort asks for exclusivity.
The settlement architecture is designed so you are paid out directly, in the currency your bank expects, rather than waiting out an OTA payout cycle. The exact mechanics differ by market because the licensing does, which is what the per-market compliance dossiers are for, and they will be in writing before you are asked to list anything.
At this stage, a conversation. There is no listing fee, no integration being asked for, and nothing to install — the product is not built. What applying gets you is a place in the first cohort for your market and a say in what onboarding looks like for your kind of inventory.

Apply

A handful of fields. Everything after them is a conversation rather than a form.

Optional.

Two of the eleven are loading now; the rest are in preparation.

Properties, vessels or departures. A band is fine.

Which channels you are on today, and anything that would have to be true for this to work for you.
